Laughter…who needs it?  We all do!

Laughter is a powerful antidote to the effects of stress in our lives.

Laughter is fun, it’s contagious. And it’s great for you.

In this session you will get to experience the power of laughter through activities and exercises which combine deep breathing, smiling, stretching, simulated laughter, playfulness and fun!

Laughter lets us live in the present. Laughter reminds us that we are alive, breathing, connected to those around us.

Hi Yoga Friends.
I confess I read the newspaper horoscopes, not that I necessarily believe them 100% (yet I absolutely believe in the connection between us and the cosmos and Vedic Astrology is another whole thing altogether) …  Anyway,  even if you are a firm believer or on the fringes or even not at all, it seems this publication had it pretty well right for me this week, I must also admit.

My Stars say:
At times, we can’t see the positive side of a bad experience”
Where to start?  My computer said “No” last week and as a result I’ve lost a lot of data.  I do see the positive side .. but I have to keep reminding myself of it.  It’s been a drama.  Won’t go into it. Need to upgrade.  Also, my portable speaker isn’t speaking to me anymore.  The Wed night class yoga-ed to the “Sounds of the Suburbs.”  Not quite the same vibe as with the Tamboura and chanting, but blissful beautiful yoga all the same as I’m sure the Wed group would all agree.  Need to upgrade.

UPDATE: The printer isn’t working now as well!! What is going on??

“Focus on the light at the end of the tunnel”
… and hope it’s not an oncoming train!! Just joking..  Yes, gotta look ahead to vision and create your dreams!  It’s actually fun to do that.  Gotta have “dreams”.   Doesn’t have to be big dreams all the time.  Little ones are fine too.  Sparks off the inspiration for the big ones.   I’m sure someone very very important once said, “If you can dream it, it can happen.”
The signs are clear that change is imminent.

“and remember that the phoenix is reborn through fire.”
Yes, lots of changes and new things are to going to happen over the next few months.  Watch this (yoga) space!   That reminds me .. Remember classes are starting at 6.30 as of next week.  Day classes are the same.  Saturday 9.15 am Beginners yoga starts tomorrow!!!

“You’ll have a fresh start if you keep going when the going gets tough.”
Bummer, sounds like there might be some challenges.  But I’m sure it will all be worth it and fabulous in the end!!

That’s all for now.  See you at yoga!
Namaste, Lynda

This year we will experience 4 unusual dates:

1/1/11;  11/1/11;  1/11/11;  11/11/11.

Now, take the last 2 digits of the year you were born….

Add it to the age you will be this year….

It will equal to 111 !

Interesting, don’t you think?

Happy Friday All!
When I got home from yoga class this morning,
I realised I had my shirt on inside-out!
Tags hanging out and seams all showing.
Nobody mentioned anything to me … so it’s possible
they didn’t notice either (or too polite to say maybe?)
After recovering from my inital embarrassment, I had a bit of a laugh at myself.
And then I read this email. I received this yesterday but only had a chance
to really read it today after my inside-out revelation!
So, I’m sending on an excerpt of this very timely Wise Living Blog for you.
My shirt inside-out-edness is a light-hearted reminder for me to live and feel from the
inside-out more and explore and appreciate that vast and rich inner world and all the
treasures it contains. Essentially … Do More Yoga!!
And of course, as in Shavasana, the experience of “inside and outside, all at the same time.”:
the further inside you go, the more ‘outside’ and expanded will be your whole experience…
More on that for another time.
Namaste, Lynda
Happy Friday Lynda!
I am laughing outwardly with your story, inwardly very warm and fuzzy, love it!

Blessings, M x

Hi Lynda
Never noticed your shirt…….you know it is supposed to be good luck if you wear your shirt inside out….have a great weekend.
Enjoyed the class…thanks again..L.

How strange

I did actually notice at one point that your shirt was inside out – but it was just a passing awareness and then I forgot all about it.

That it was followed by such a reflection as you sent below only goes to confirm the symbolic value of the experience – WOW.

Thank you for sharing and challenging me in an area of weakness for me – that of caring, worrying, allocating importance to what other people might think!!

Hi Lynda,
Thanks for your email, it is very helpful to me at this particular time.  Funny about that.!!!
As for your top being inside out, I probably didn’t notice, and if I had it would only have been noted as a fashion statement  – as inside out, around about, any old way at all, short or long etc. is the accepted way these days.  That is probably good???
